Why We Added Press Releases to Your SEO Plan
Hi H Client!
Nearly everything that we publish for you lives on your own website. The case studies, the blog articles, the service pages, all the work that builds your authority for people arriving after they click an ad or find you in organic and AI search. That foundation is worth more now than it's ever been, because the AI assistants that people ask for recommendations, read that content and cite it.
There's one thing that your own website can't do for you, no matter how well we write it, and that's to vouch for you from somewhere else. A real piece of news about your company, published on an actual news site, builds your domain authority and strengthens how the AI tools see you.
So a couple of months ago we built press releases into the SEO plan itself. They sit alongside the rest of the AI visibility work that we already do for you, Google Business Profile optimizations, the FAQs, the schema markup, the content, all of it pulling in the same direction.
Here's what happens when we run one. It goes out across a standard network of news sites, including local TV station sites and the USA TODAY Network, and a few hours later a report comes back showing exactly where it appeared. Your Project Manager can send you that report.
The only ingredient that we need is a reason worth writing about. That might be a new location, an award, an anniversary, a rebrand, something you're doing in the community, or a unique project that turned out beautifully. We may well come to you with a topic first, since we're watching what people in your market are searching for and asking AI about. You should never feel that you have to wait for us, though. If you already have something in mind, tell your Project Manager and we'll build the release around it.
If you have an image to go with it, send that along too. Professional creative is always best, and that can come later in the season once the plantings have filled in and the space looks the way you want it remembered. For a release going out now, a good photo is plenty, although a photo is not necessary.
So it's worth ten minutes with your Project Manager to talk through what's coming up over the next six months and how you'd like to use the releases you have.
