The System Overview

Firesky is a unique company that’s led by a team of landscape architects who work on each project from design through build. With a multi-location franchise system, their marketing needs are unique. With professional videography, website design, strategic SEO efforts, reputation management, and Facebook and Google Ads campaigns run by industry experts, HALSTEAD has highlighted what makes this business special, and FireSky has a steady flow of incoming leads because of it.

Website

FireSky wanted to promote themselves as landscape architects and build brand awareness. They also wanted to have a great online presence, build SEO, and increase the number of leads and conversions they were getting from their existing website.

HALSTEAD redesigned the website, keeping the basic branding principles the same. We changed their logo when they changed their name from LandArt to FireSky. Significant changes were made to copy, since the original FireSky website was lacking. HALSTEAD’s team of professional copywriters created content that helped establish the FireSky brand as architects and craftsmen. Rather than having a generic webpage about outdoor living, we separated out the various elements that make up outdoor living spaces into their own pages, to go into much greater detail and help with SEO.

Videography

HALSTEAD approached FireSky about adding videography services to their marketing plan for many years, and they resisted it. In 2022, they decided to give it a try and fell in love with the process. FireSky’s president, Ron DuHamel, appreciated how the HALSTEAD videographer captured the projects, asking questions that helped reveal the story behind each project and showcase FireSky’s uniqueness.

These videos are used on the FireSky website as case studies, such as the Mountainview Golfer’s Paradise and the Beautiful Two-Acre Estate. Each case study shares the unique landscape design aspect and the up-close details that set FireSky landscapes apart from all others. DuHamel’s passion for the industry is shown throughout the videos. These videos are also used in Facebook ads and may be used in local TV ads in the near future.

It has always been important for FireSky to differentiate themselves from their competitors in their ads. Their work as landscape architects makes them unique in an industry dominated mostly by landscape contractor businesses. As landscape architects and builders, they are highly educated in the design field and have excellent craftsmanship. By including the landscape architects in each phase of the process, the results are stunning. Adding professional videography to their ad creative to showcase this unique approach has been a strategic way to share the FireSky story and has taken their ad results to a new level.

Paid Media

Prior to working with HALSTEAD, FireSky had an average click-through-rate (CTR) of just 1.22%. Since working with us, their average CTR has been 5.62%. With HALSTEAD’s CTR goal of 3-4%, the results are outstanding—more clicks lead to more sales. Our ongoing efforts to lower cost-per-click (CPC) have helped make FireSky’s budget go further. We expanded their campaign for concrete, a new service they provide for interior surfaces and outdoor foundations.

Search Engine Optimization

HALSTEAD’s industry-specific strategy helped FireSky Outdoor earn the top three Google results spots for nearly 63% of their keywords, a growth of almost 20%. 100% of their keywords are within the first two pages of search results. This achievement is a result of our attentive monitoring for Google algorithm changes that can impact strategy, along with building local landing pages to finely target locations and specific keywords. Our work to build manual backlinks from high-quality and relevant sites has helped generate authority for FireSky, further improving SEO.

Reporting Analytics

The HALSTEAD Reporting tool has made viewing the results of marketing efforts a seamless process. FireSky can see all the forms and calls that are tracked, along with data from Google Analytics, SEO, Google Ads, Facebook Ads, email marketing, and reputation management—all from one convenient dashboard. DuHamel enjoys hearing from the HALSTEAD project managers with updates on their marketing program, including a monthly video that reviews all of the data.
